PURI:Today, on the seventeenth day of the chariot construction, the three chariot builders arrived at the chariot yard before 8:00 AM and began the construction work under the guidance of the chief Vishwakarma Sevak. By yesterday, 16 wheels of three chariots had been completed.
By today, the seventeenth day, a total of 18 wheels for the three chariots have been completed. In addition, 11 sal gujs, 20 tikha gujs, 27 water machines for nine chariots, 32 kudukas, 12 oras, and four first and second floor khambis for the three chariots have been completed.
In addition, this afternoon, Rath Amin, with the help of the Trirath Bhoi Sevak, provided four 20-foot pieces of Dhaura wood for the front, rear and side fences of the three chariots. The Trirath Maharana Sevak has reached the final stage of the work of making the front, rear and side fences of the three chariots (20-foot Dhaura wood).
*Today, the Bhoi Sevaks have completed the work of connecting the three chariots to the Tumbas at Yantagad and have provided the three chariots with the Singada. Tomorrow, the Tumba Maharana Sevaks will place their feet on the Tumba Singada and mark the measurement. Before connecting the feet, the Akh Bindha or Agar Bindha work along with the work of connecting the Tumbas will be completed by the Tumba Bindha artisans.
The sculptors have carved the image of Nrusimha on the 11 pillars of the three chariots.
At the temporary blacksmith shop in Dolavedi, the blacksmiths have continued to make the required tools, such as the hammer, the thorn, and the key, to make the remaining wheels of the three chariots.
