BHUBANESWAR:Now the media is all over the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, more so in Odisha. He is being criticized and some are demanding his resignation, more so in Odisha. The point to be concerned is that can a minister be responsible for the paper leak done by some dishonest and criminally minded people? Can any minister be directly or indirectly related to criminals who are playing with the future of students? Or is all this being said only on the pretext of morality? The fact is that we also know that dishonesty always creates confusion in the society.
The government takes action against them. That is what has happened in this case too. Dharmendra has taken moral responsibility for this incident and has taken a strict approach towards the criminals and has also taken steps so that the future of the children does not get worse. Apart from this, why the protest? Why are we only expressing our desire to protest.
What Dharmendra has done, what is his contribution to the country, to our state, we never think about him, we are only unilaterally joining hands with others. Not only that, now some dishonest elements are spreading to defame him in other ways. It is being said on social media that Dharmendra has assets in America, which is completely false and baseless. Therefore, we are saying that the information given is completely fabricated and not real information, anyone can verify it.
Since independence, every Union Minister who has been in Odisha has done as much as Dharmendra has done for the development of Odisha till date. This is not just for talking, it is a fact. In the last twelve years, development work worth lakhs of crores of rupees has been done in Odisha by the Petroleum Ministry alone. As a true Odia, he gave the slogan of Andhra Go Back in Kotia even while he was a Union Minister. Even today, he is ahead of everyone in introducing the prosperity of Odisha in the country and abroad. Everyone will admit that the BJP government that has come to power in Odisha today is the result of his organizational skills and hard work.
Of course, it is true that the current state government has completely failed in the reason why the people changed the government. What the people of the country or the opponents say is a different matter, but it is not appropriate to oppose a person who is working continuously for our state like Bhagirathi, in such a selfish and intentional way, at the instigation of others.
Such a mentality will not be right for our state. Dharmendra Pradhan’s contribution to Odisha should never be forgotten. He cannot be held responsible for the work for which he is not responsible. Protesting in a democracy is a constitutional right. But being ungrateful is definitely immoral. I personally feel that some conspiratorial group must be behind this. If you think deeply, you will find the answer, who is protesting for what.
