BHUBANESWAR:Inspired by the ideology of the BJP and expressing faith in the developmental work of the double-engine government in the state, many sarpanches, naib sarpanches, panchayat samiti members, ward members, senior and youth leaders of Kakatpur constituency in Puri district, Rayagada district and Begunia constituency in Khurda district today officially joined the BJP, leaving the BJD and Congress.
At the merger ceremony held at the state office, State President Shri Manmohan Samal said that there are BJP and NDA governments in 22 states of the country. From MPs, MLAs to local representatives, BJP is respected as a party in India. Under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP has become the largest political party in the world. Everyone is joining BJP today because of the determination and achievement. There are many possibilities in Odisha, the successful Prime Minister Modi has dreamed of making Odisha the number 1 state.
Odisha will have the largest share in the efforts he is making to build a developed India by 2047. Popular Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is making efforts to build a prosperous Odisha by 2036. We all have to cooperate in this. We have to take a resolution to solve the basic problems of the people and move towards developing the state and the country, said Shri Samal.
On this occasion, social worker Pratap Chandra Parida of Talda Panchayat of Astarang Block, Puri District, Sarpanch Deepak Parida, former Sarpanch Ramaranjan Mohanty, Panchayat Samiti member Amiya Ranjan Sethi, former Sarpanch Prafulla Kumar Sahabi, Yuva BJD President Raghunath Nayak, Naib Sarpanch Prabhisani Nayak, Ward Member Parvatava Kumar Nayak, Debashish Mohanty, Bapina Mohanty, Kailash Biswal, Kakatpur Block Patsundarpur Panchayat Samiti member Manoj Kumar Nayak, former Sarpanch Pradeep Kumar Dalai, Prahallad Sahu, retired Odisha Administrative Officer of Kakatpur Block Yadagan Panchayat Prafulla Kumar Behera, Lataharan Panchayat former BJD President Gangadhar Nayak, Nayahat Ishanpur Sarpanch Binodini Pal, Naib Sarpanch Mili Jena, BJD Leaders Basant Pal, Mantu Dalai and other public representatives and ward members have joined the BJP along with hundreds of their supporters.
Similarly, Sarpanch Kavita Manjari Tripathi, Naib Sarpanch Laxmidhar Swain, Ward Member Basanti Sahu, Dharanidhar Mohapatra, Subashini Sethi of Gedia Palli Panchayat under Bolgarh Block of Begunia Constituency of Khordha District; Former Sarpanch Kishore Chandra Hota of Kalang Gram Panchayat, Samiti Member Prahallad Subuddhi, Budhi Baman Parshti, Sushant Raut, Vijay Swain, Badal Sadangi; Former Sarpanch Prahallad Dalai of Bolgarh Panchayat and prominent BJD workers have officially joined the BJP. Similarly, former BJD Secretary R. Kashi Naidu along with many supporters and former Sarpanch Mina Rao Himirika have joined the BJP.
State President Shri Manmohan Samal welcomed all the new members by giving them the party cap. On this occasion, MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai, former MLA from Paralakhemundi K. Narayan Rao, State Vice President Dr. Yatin Mohanty, State General Secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathi, State General Secretary Purnima Priyadarsani Nayak, State Secretary Saroj Kar, Scheduled Caste Morcha State President Baidhar Mallick, senior leader Kaliram Majhi, Rayagada District President Gopi Anand, Puri District President Debendra Tarai and Mandal Presidents were present.
