BHUBANESWAR:  Odisha Chief Minister Sri Mohan Charan Majhi’s 5-day investment outreach visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has evoked an overwhelming response from global investors.

Addressing investors, Chief Minister Sri Majhi said, “Odisha is not just a state rich in resources, but a state ready for the future. We offer political stability, ease of doing business, and a responsive government. We invite our friends from UAE to be partners in Odisha’s growth story.”

The 8 MoUs and 16 Investment Intents cover key sectors with high employment potential. The proposed investments, once grounded, are expected to generate direct and indirect employment for over 6.18 lakh people in the state.

Shri Hemant Sharma, IAS, ACS, Industries, Home, I&PR, presented Odisha’s investment potential at the Odisha Investors’ Meet in the UAE, highlighting the State’s strong industrial ecosystem, mineral and coastal advantage, investor-friendly policies and speed of project execution.From aluminium and critical minerals to green hydrogen, logistics, food processing, textiles, semiconductors and more, he showcased the diverse opportunities available for global businesses in Odisha.

Day 2 of the Odisha Investors’ Meet – UAE 2026 saw Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi lead a series of high-level engagements with UAE leadership, global investors, industry representatives and business institutions in Dubai.

5 MoUs and 8 Investment Intents brought a combined investment potential of ₹8,417 crore, with the potential to generate 14,310 employment opportunities.

From the Odisha Investment Roadshow and focused discussions on aluminium downstream and value addition, to engagements with IBPC, EGA and the Bureau of Middle East Recycling, the day opened up opportunities across technology, logistics, food processing, chemicals, steel downstream, rare earths, aluminium and the circular economy.

A day of strong investor interest, sectoral partnerships and concrete outcomes, further advancing Odisha’s journey towards a globally connected and investment-ready State.
