NUAPADA:The popularity of the people of Nuapada towards BJD is decreasing day by day. Ahead of Naveen Patnaik’s meeting, the frustration of BJD leaders and workers has been expressed. The so-called servant and former MLA Bobby Das and his associates, who are in charge of the Nuapada by-election, are taking refuge in fear and violence to forcefully take people to the meeting.
On the 30th, they called Jitu Adbang, a resident of Paipakpada under Komna block, abused him in very bad language, beat him up and threatened to kill him. Khariar MLA Adhiraj Panigrahi, local leader and BJD aspirant Manoj Mishra have openly cooperated in this. BJD has sunk to such a low level that now they are even intimidating their own party workers. Such violence reveals the terror and despair that has arisen inside a sinking ship. The people of Nuapada will never forgive such violent behavior of BJD leaders and will give a befitting reply in the upcoming by-elections, said Shri Khamsingh Majhi, national executive member of BJP Janjati Morcha and senior local leader of Nuapada.
In a press conference held at the district office in Nuapada today, Mr. Majhi said that there is no place for violence in a democracy. Former Chief Minister Naveen Babu, who always preached non-violence, has made his two-faced policy clear that he will remain silent. On the other hand, due to the lack of local leadership in the BJD, outsiders are intimidating the voters and trying to get votes by force. To maintain his control in Nuapada, Bobby Das has tried to maintain his dominance by bringing an outside candidate in front and taking the shelter of violence. He should not forget that the people of Nuapada are not slaves of anyone.
On the other hand, BJD candidate Smt. Snehangini Chhuria and Congress leader Shri Bhaktacharan Das, both belonging to SC category, have remained silent on the issue of violence against SC youth. This exposes the hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of both the parties. For both the parties, false promises have become more important than justice, said Shri Majhi.
Shri Majhi said that a complaint will be made to the state election officer regarding this issue and appropriate action will be taken. State spokesperson and regional media coordinator Shri Manas Ranjan Bakshi was present on the occasion.
