PURI:The temple administration has taken immediate steps to stop the Adinia Rath Yatra in Sikar district of Rajasthan. It was published in social media and newspapers that the Adinia Rath Yatra would be celebrated in Sikar district of Rajasthan on July 10 by Vishwa Sanatan Dharma Seva Sansthan and Shri Khatu Shyam Mandal.

After receiving this information, the temple administration has shown promptness and Puri District Magistrate and Deputy Chief Administrator of the temple Shri Divyajyoti Parida has written an official letter to the Sikar District Magistrate of Rajasthan Shri Ashish Modi requesting him to stop this Adinia Rath Yatra. In addition to stopping the Adinia Rath Yatra, the Sikar District Magistrate and District Magistrate have been requested to observe the Rath Yatra on the same day when the Rath Yatra is held in the main shrine, Puri.

A letter in this regard has also been sent to the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan. According to classical customs, the Rath Yatra is held on the second tithi of Asadh Shukla. Accordingly, this year, the Rath Yatra will be celebrated in the main shrine of Sri Jagannath Dham, Puri, and all over the world on July 16 only. Therefore, the Srimandir administration has clarified that conducting the Adinia Rath Yatra on any other date hurts the sentiments of millions of Jagannath-loving devotees.

Organizing such a Rath Yatra outside the rules and regulations is damaging and spreading disrespect to the dignity of Sri Jagannath culture and classical tradition, said Dr. Arvind Kumar Padhi, Chief Administrator of the Srimandir. Puri Gajapati Maharaja Sri Divyasingh Deb also expressed deep concern over this incident and strongly condemned the Adinia Rath Yatra to be organized by Vishwa Sanatana Dharma Seva Sansthan and Sri Khatu Shyam Mandal. It is worth noting that the Sri Jagannath Temple administration has opposed the Adinia Rath Yatra many times in the past as per the resolution or resolution adopted by the Temple Management Committee under the chairmanship of the Puri Gajapati Maharaja. The temple administration has clarified that the administration will always be ready to protect the original classical traditions of Lord Jagannath in the future as well.
