BHUBANESWAR:As the Kalinga Sena is going to celebrate its foundation day on November 7, the party’s preparatory committee meeting was held at the party office . Along with the party’s foundation day, the upcoming panchayat and municipal elections were also discussed in the meeting. It has been decided to accelerate the member recruitment campaign, informed Sena supremo Hemant Rath.
Shri Rath said that the party’s foundation day will be celebrated on November 7, and like every year, this year too, 10 people will be inducted and one prominent person will be awarded the Kalingaratna award. Similarly, the party will demonstrate its strength before the upcoming Panchayat and Municipal elections, said party vice-president Hemant Singh. Therefore, he advised every party worker to be prepared and asked the workers to focus on public relations. Similarly, Shri Rath directed to give priority to educated women in the selection of district council candidates. In the preparatory committee meeting, hundreds of representatives from all districts of the state promised the Supreme Court to strengthen the party in the upcoming Panchayat and Municipal elections.
It is noteworthy that Kalinga Sena has always given priority to the youth of Odisha. The party has been demanding from time to time how banks should provide maximum loans to them in the field of employment and to make them self-reliant. Shri Rath has instructed the workers on how the party can reach out to the people in the coming days.
The Sena Supreme has asked the district presidents to select the district council candidates in the upcoming three-tier elections on a priority basis and send their names, educational qualifications, complete details of cases if any, how the interested candidates are related to the voters, and how active they are in social work to the Sena headquarters. The party has given the responsibility to complete this selection process by the end of next December to State General Secretary Vijay Raj, Ing Manoj Nayak and Ing Swatash Ranjan Sahu, Ashok Sahu and Purna Chandra Sahu, Monalisha Biswal, Shasmita Pahad Singh.
