BHUBANESWAR:A pangolin was rescued by the staff of Athagarh Forest Division from Paikianra village under Tigiria Section on 04.09.2026. The animal was examined by the Veterinary Doctor and found to be in healthy condition. It was subsequently released safely in a nearby suitable forest habitat.
Athagarh Forest Division continues to undertake regular wildlife protection, rescue and conservation activities in the area.
The Forest Department appeals to the public to **cooperate with forest officials and promptly inform the nearest Forest Department staff whenever wildlife is found in human habitations or other areas**. Timely information and public cooperation are essential for the safe rescue and protection of wildlife and for the **prevention of human-wildlife conflict**.
