BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Police mourns the demise of Shri Shefeen Ahamed K., IPS, IGP, CID, Crime Branch, Cuttack.

A distinguished officer of the 2003 batch, he served with dedication, integrity and professionalism. His valuable contributions to policing, particularly in cyber crime investigation, will always be remembered with respect.

Odisha Police stands with his bereaved family and loved ones. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

‘I am devastated to hear about the untimely death of my dearest colleague Safin Ahmed, IPS after a long struggle against cancer. He was not ours, he was not mine. Leaves me with a lump in the heart, a deep wound that shall not heal. Rest in Peace Safin,” DG Fire Services and Home Guards, Dr Sudhanshu Sarangi said.

Dr. Shefeen Ahamed K, who was serving as the Inspector General of Police (CID, Crime Branch) in Odisha, passed away on Monday morning at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram. He had been undergoing treatment for cancer over the past two years.
