Odisha is Progressively Evolving as one of the Adani Group’s Biggest Investment Destinations in India

BHUBANESWAR: Over MoU with Adani Enterprises Ltd, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi says, “Today is a historic day in the history of industrial development of Odisha. An MoU was signed between Odisha government’s IPICOL and a business group from the UAE, IHC. 11.5 billion dollars will be spent on this project. During the time of the construction of the project, 35,000 employees will work there. When the project is ready, it will provide direct employment to 18,000 people.”

MD Adani Ports and SEZ, Karan Adani said the Adani-IHC integrated mega Aluminium project in Odisha will need 12-18 months for approvals, land allocation and other clearances and around 3-3.5 years for construction after that.

Karan Adani (Managing Director of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ)) says, . This project represents ambition on a truly global scale. With a proposed investment of USD 11.5 billion—translating to nearly 1.08 lakh crores—this is among the most significant aluminium ecosystem investments anywhere in the world…This project brings together the full aluminium value chain into one integrated ecosystem. It envisages an alumina refinery of nearly 4 million tons per annum, an aluminium smelter of nearly 2 million tons per annum, and a downstream aluminium park of nearly 1 million tons per annum. It will be supported by a captive power plant of about 4,000 megawatts and a green energy component of about 400 megawatts. These numbers are not mere statistics; they represent the foundation of a new industrial future. During construction, this project will generate nearly 35,000 jobs. During operations, it will support around 18,500 jobs.’”

  • Rs 800 Crore – Data Centre – Info Valley, Bhubaneswar

Adani is the Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) for NLC’s Talabira II & III coal blocks in Odisha’s IB Valley coalfield (Sambalpur-Jharsuguda). MDO for NLC’s Talabira Coal Mines, too..

Operated by Talabira (Odisha) Mining Private Limited (TOMPL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises.  Odisha is steadily emerging as one of Adani Group’s biggest investment destinations in India.
