NAYAGARH/BHUBANESWAR:Odagaon PS Case No. 123/2026 U/s 103(1)/3(5) BNS.Further to the brutal murder case of Shri Ajit Sahu reported under Odagaon PS limits, Nayagarh district, the following update is issued:
Progress in Investigation: IGP Central Range Dr Satyajit Naik said two more main accused, who allegedly attacked the deceased with a sword, have been apprehended today.
With this, total 4 accused are now in police custody in connection with the case.
Intensive interrogation is underway to ascertain the role of each accused and to trace other persons involved, if any.
Police Action: Raids are continuing to apprehend remaining absconding accused.
Scientific and digital evidence is being collected to ensure a foolproof investigation.
Strict action against illegal stone quarry operations and associated criminal syndicates is being taken in coordination with Revenue & Mining departments.
Nayagarh Police reiterates its commitment to ensure speedy investigation and exemplary punishment to all persons involved in this heinous crime. Law & order situation in the area remains normal and is being closely monitored, IGP Dr Naik added.
