BHUBANESWAR: In view of the flood situation in the state, rescue, relief and drainage work is being expedited.
Under the directions of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, SRC, Ministers, Departmental Officers and District Collectors are working in coordination at Ground Zero. In times of crisis, protecting livelihoods and reaching out to the last line of support is the priority of the State Government.
ODRAF, NDRF and fire brigade have been deployed in the affected areas and rescue and relief operations have been expedited.
Special arrangements have been made for cooked and dry food, baby food, cow food, and health services at the relief centers.
Instructions have been given to provide immediate financial assistance and short-term seeds to the affected farmers based on the joint estimates of the Agriculture and Revenue Departments within 72 hours of the flood waters receding.
All primary health centers are stocked with necessary medicines, anti-venom, bleaching powder, and chlorine tablets, and the process of purifying drinking water sources is ongoing.
Repair work is underway on a war footing of damaged roads, bridges, schools and anganwadi centers.
A full alert has been issued in coastal districts including the Mahanadi basin. All emergency services of the government are operational 24/7. Citizens are requested not to panic or panic at all, follow the information of the administration, and maintain health awareness.
