BHUBANESWAR:On the call of the esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravi Das Maharaj, the “Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samaras Sankalp Abhiyan” is being celebrated across the country from 29 July 2026 (Guru Purnima) to 20 February 2027 (Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Jayanti).
This campaign has been launched from Kashi, the birthplace of Guru Shri Ravi Das ji. In this context, the holy remains have been collected from his birthplace Kashi, Varanasi, in urns and sent to various states of the country. The delegation from Odisha reached Bhubaneswar railway station today with this holy urn.
The delegation included SC Morcha National Executive Member Sushant Malik, former Minister Shri Himanshu Meher, MP Dr. Ravi Narayan Behera, SC Morcha State General Secretary Shri Manijar Arya, Shri Chandan Swaraj, senior leader Professor Purna Chandra Mallik, State Spokesperson Shri Laxman Panda, SC Morcha State Vice President Shri Shiv Mallik, SC Morcha Secretary Shri Harihar Mahanand were among the prominent participants. The delegation was given a grand welcome at the railway station. Later, the said urn was taken to the Shri Ram Temple in a grand procession.
After the puja, the urn was placed in the temple. On August 9, in a grand ceremony, the workers of the 37 organizational districts of BJP will bring soil from the birthplaces of such great men and mix it with this holy body and then it will be distributed in 37 different urns. The soil will be filled in different urns and taken to all the mandals of the district. From there, this holy urn will be distributed to each gram panchayat and from the gram panchayat to each village. Where this holy urn is will be kept and trees will be planted wherever they are reached. Various religious, social, cultural and public relations programs will be organized under this campaign. A large number of saints will participate in this. On this occasion, the BJP has decided to widely publicize the life, philosophy, equality, devotion, service, social justice and humanity of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj throughout the country.
