At a time when the entire state is facing flood situation due to incessant rains, top BJP leaders and MPs, including the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, are in Delhi. At such a time, what can be more serious than the safety of one’s own people?
People from Mayurbhanj, Balasore to Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur etc. are facing unprecedented difficulties due to floods. The news of the loss of many innocent lives in the floods has saddened me and the entire people of Odisha. Instead of standing firm with such unfortunate people, there are endless allegations of government negligence.
In the face of all natural disasters, ‘Every life is precious’ is the mantra of Odisha. Odisha has earned fame all over the world by dealing with all disasters with this mantra. But the fact that the representatives elected by the people have abandoned the people’s hands without successfully dealing with the flood situation is surprising everyone.
In such a serious situation, the government should not be insensitive and stand with the people and protect them, Patnaik added.
