NEW DELHI/SAMBALPUR:‘Nuakhai’ is not just a festival, it is a unique symbol of our land, agriculture, culture, faith and brotherhood. This was said by MP and former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while participating in the separate ‘Nuakhai Bhetghat-2026’ program organized by the ‘Milan Family’ and ‘Zuhar Delhi Family’ in New Delhi.
Shri Pradhan felt extremely happy and honoured to be part of this sacred cultural event in the midst of the Odia diaspora in the national capital. On this occasion, he honoured the ‘Zuhar Samman’ to the meritorious and talented individuals at a function organised by the ‘Zuhar Delhi’ family.
Shri Pradhan said that Nuakhai is a sacred occasion to show our family unity, respect and reverence to our Gurus and to increase social harmony with the new arrivals. The continuous efforts of ‘Zuhar Delhi’, which has been bringing together our Odia brothers and sisters living in Delhi for the last 27 years, to preserve our art, culture, tradition and identity in the national capital and to promote and propagate it, is highly commendable. Similarly, ‘Milan Kalya’ also expressed its gratitude to all the members of both the institutions for maintaining this great tradition and cultural bond of Odisha.
Finally, Shri Pradhan wished everyone happiness, prosperity, peace and good health to Maa Samaleswari.
