SAMBALPUR:The people have given us the responsibility to serve the people. The people have given a befitting reply to those who were questioning our ideology. It is our biggest duty to take everyone together in politics and think for the development of the group above personal interests, said Sambalpur MP and former Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while attending the ‘Extended District Executive Meeting’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party held at Dedeipali, Sambalpur on Sunday.
Currently, the Bharatiya Janata Party is celebrating ‘Seva Pal’. On this occasion, the party workers will reach out to the poor, youth, women, tribals and the underprivileged sections and serve them and provide them with the benefits of various welfare schemes of the government. In particular, it has been decided in the meeting to make the cleanliness, nutritious food and drug-free campaigns a mass movement by involving every citizen. Apart from this, he informed that a big cleanliness campaign will be held in Sambalpur municipality and villages in the coming days.
Shri Pradhan said that today, the continuous service of the people is continuing under the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre, including Odisha. As India is soon to become the third largest economy in the world, the all-round development of Sambalpur district should be our priority. A grand plan has been made in the ‘Disha’ meeting to double the employment in the district along with massive investment in road infrastructure. The main goal of social organizations is to show the right path to the society and be the voice of the poor, helpless, women, youth and tribals. We have to build a bridge between the administration and the governed. We have to be careful that our behavior and conduct do not hurt anyone’s feelings and take forward issue-based politics. Finally, Shri Pradhan opined that the dream of a developed Odisha and a developed India can be realized only if Sambalpur is developed.
