BHUBANESWAR:The Parvan season has already begun. Starting from the public Durga Puja to Gajalakshmi Puja and Kali Puja, various committees will organize pujas in the capital city of Bhubaneswar through various committees. The Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has taken a welcome decision for the people of Bhubaneswar and the puja committees during the Parvan season.

It has been announced that the “ground rent” will be completely waived for the puja committees organizing public pujas in the areas under the Bhubaneswar Metropolitan Corporation from October 17 to November 18. Earlier, various puja mandap and committees had to pay “ground rent” ranging from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 50,000. Due to the complete waiver of this rent, the huge financial burden on the puja committees has been reduced, so that they can organize the Parvan with more enthusiasm.

On behalf of the state BJP, the Honorable Ekamra Bhubaneswar MLA, Shri Babu Singh, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Chief Minister, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, and the state government for this culturally and traditionally friendly decision of the state government.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister has also appealed to all the puja organizers to be committed to celebrating the festival in a peaceful, orderly, clean and environment-friendly manner. Shri Singh said that this generosity of the State Government will double the joy of Parvana in the entire capital.
