BHUBANESWAR:Kalinga Sena today surrounded the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) office alleging fraud in the CCTV tender conducted by the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC). Hundreds of soldiers of the army led by Supremo Hemant Rath today surrounded the office and demanded the arrest of Babu, who was involved in the tender fraud.
Giving information about the gherao, Shri Rath said that the babus have committed massive corruption in the tender issued by OKAC for installing CCTV in four universities of the state, Banibihar, Ramadevi, Manikeswari and Sambalpur University. The price of the tender has been increased almost twice to give the tender to a specific company. The big boys of the IT department including OKAC are involved in this. Kalinga Sena first filed a complaint with the ED. But since the government remained silent, the gherao has been done today.
He said that a tender was floated for installing CCTV cameras in these universities at a cost of about Rs 24 crore. However, the OAK authorities cleverly retained the power to change the terms of the tender. The army has alleged that such a ruckus was done with the intention of committing corruption.
The Higher Education Department, IT Department and some dishonest officials of OCA have joined hands in this big corruption. They have succeeded in their conspiracy to give tender to a specific company. This conspiracy was made to give work to a company that has increased the tender price of Rs 24 crore to Rs 47 crore, while the officials involved in this are now arrested, the real truth will come out and the government will turn a blind eye to this corruption and take refuge in the Kalinga Sena Law Court, the party said. The party’s vice president Purna Chandra Sahu, general secretary Vijay Raj, Sanjay Pradhan, Ashok Sahu, Monlisha Biswal, Runu Sahu, Anant Mohanty, Mamuni Sahu and hundreds of prominent Kalinga soldiers participated in today’s protest.
