CM Naveen Patnaik congrats Kendrapara Brave Hearts

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the two brave heart Odia girls, who have been nominated to receive the National Bravery Award on the eve of Republic day.

Purnima Giri and Sabita Giri of Nipania village in Kendrapara district will receive the ICCW Dhruva Award from The President of India.

Notably, the sister-duo had saved 12 persons from drowning in Mahanadi River when a boat sank into the water full with wild crocodiles near Nipania village in Kendrapara on January 1, 2019.

Expressing extreme pleasure for their nomination for National Bravery Award, Odisha CM has ordered to build a cyclone shelter at the high school, where both Purnima and Sabita are studying.

The Chief Minister has directed to start the project at the earliest. It has also been decided that the sister-duo will lay the foundation stone of the cyclone shelter.
