BHUBANESWAR/PURI:Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the second technical meeting of the BRICS Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group (DRRG) held in Puri.
On this occasion, he emphasized the importance of resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainable development to address the challenges of climate change and increasing disasters.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s globally acclaimed ‘Zero Casualty’ disaster management model, robust early warning system. He said that the recently completed Greenfield Coastal Highway will further strengthen Odisha’s disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities.
The BRICS meeting in Puri will prove to be a milestone in future cooperation and policy-making for global disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, and building a resilient society.
