BHUBANESWAR:The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Indian Women Network (IWN), Odisha Chapter successfully organised the programme titled “CII IWN NUA Odisha” on 21 April 2026 in Bhubaneswar, bringing together women leaders, entrepreneurs, and grassroots changemakers from across the state.
The programme was graced by Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, Chief Secretary of Odisha, who highlighted the critical role of women in shaping the state’s growth trajectory. She encouraged greater participation of women entrepreneurs and professionals in economic development and emphasised strengthening ecosystems that support women-led enterprises, underscoring that women empowerment is key to inclusive and sustainable growth.
Distinguished speakers including Mr. Manikanta Naik, Vice Chairman, CII Odisha State Council and Managing Director, Tata Steel SEZ Ltd, Ms. Zubina Ali, Chairperson, CII IWN Odisha Chapter, and Ms. Snehaprava Das, Co-Chairperson, CII IWN Odisha Chapter shared their perspectives on women empowerment, highlighting the importance of collaboration, policy support, and capacity building to enhance women’s participation across sectors.
Conceptualised as “Changemakers for NUA Odisha”, the programme celebrated the spirit of womanhood and the transformative role of women leaders. Rooted in the ethos of Odia Asmita, it emphasised the contribution of women in building a progressive, self-reliant, and inclusive Odisha, while reinforcing the vision of NUA Odisha, an empowered and aspirational state.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from women leaders, entrepreneurs, and grassroots-level social workers, reflecting a strong collective commitment towards advancing women empowerment in Odisha.CII IWN Odisha Chapter continues to play a vital role in fostering leadership, entrepreneurship, and policy advocacy for women, contributing to the state’s development agenda.
