BHUBANESWAR:On receiving the news of the death of an Odia tourist in a water-borne accident in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg immediately spoke to the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh over the phone. She immediately spoke to the Secretary of the Odisha State Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department. She directed to expedite the rescue and necessary further procedures in constant coordination with the Madhya Pradesh Government and local administration. The Chief Secretary expressed deep grief over the incident, wished the departed soul a speedy recovery and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha also directed the officials to make necessary arrangements in this regard.
On the instructions of the Chief Secretary, Officer on Special Duty of the Directorate of Odisha Family, Government of Odisha, Shri Pritish Panda met the other family members and relatives of the deceased in Bhubaneswar at Atharam Basti, Jayadeva Bihar Unit-16 and inquired about the deceased. They are Shiv Prasad Behera (age-43), Sai Zhulteprabha Behera (6), Krishna Rajveer (13), Jnanendra Kumar Behera (40), Ritarani Behera (36), Sai Swasthik Behera (10) and Radharani Behera (34).
In this regard, as per the information received from the Collector’s Office and District Magistrate, District Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh, 07 devotees of Bhubaneswar, Odisha have died in the drain of Maa Banglamukhi Temple in Tehsil Nalkheda under District Agar-Malwa. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to their respective residences by ambulance/hearse. For this purpose, Shri Rahul Jain, Revenue Inspector, Vritta Tanodiya, Tehsil Agar has been appointed as the Nodal Officer for the transport of the bodies. In addition, Shri Anup Rajput “Patwari” has been deployed as an assistant.
Shri Rahul Jain, along with a police officer, will transport the bodies of the deceased to their respective districts in Odisha in an ambulance/hearse in coordination with the local administration. For this purpose, the concerned officer of Odisha, Shri Pritish Panda, will be in constant touch with the Special Duty Officer (Mobile No.: 9583321964) and will inform the Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Agar-Malwa (MP) from time to time, informed Shriyut Panda, Special Duty Officer, Odisha Family Directorate, as mentioned in the instructions sent by the District Collector of Agar-Malwa, Madhya Pradesh.
