BHUBANESWAR:The meeting was inaugurated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. National President Prof. Raghuraj Kishore Tiwari, National Minister Dr. Birendra Singh Solanki and National Organization Minister Shri Ashish Chauhan inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp.
Addressing the inaugural session of the National Executive Meeting, ABVP National General Secretary Dr. Birendra Singh Solanki said, “The National Executive Meeting being held in Bhubaneswar will discuss a number of important issues including education, global outlook, sports, environment, technology and other contemporary issues.
The decision taken by the Central Board of Secondary Education yesterday to fully implement the three-language policy is a positive step towards indigenization of Indian education and strengthening national unity. In view of the increasing inter-state migration for employment and higher education in the country, knowledge of Indian languages will be very useful for the future of the students.
The solutions given by the Board to address practical challenges like availability of textbooks and shortage of teachers during the Covid pandemic are commendable. ABVP is of the opinion that along with language studies, board examinations should also be conducted under the three-language system, so that this policy can be implemented more effectively.
The meeting will discuss the National Education Policy There will be a detailed discussion on the effective implementation, promotion of Indian languages and various dimensions of the three-language policy. Surely, after implementation, this policy will prove to be a milestone in strengthening Indian languages and protecting linguistic diversity. ABVP sees this as an important means of qualitative change in the education sector and national integration. Necessary suggestions and future actions will also be considered in this regard.”
