World Woman Foundation and Samara Oram Educational Trust host AI Bootcamp-Pilot program trains 150 tribal girls and aims to empower 1 million women and girls with AI skills for future jobs and inclusive development

SUNDARGARH/BHUBANESWAR:USA based World Woman Foundation in collaboration with the Samara Oram Educational Trust conducted a one day long training programme here on Artificial Intelligence for tribal girls. The bootcamp first of its kind in India was hosted with an aim of expanding access to emerging technology education for underserved communities. Designed specifically for indigenous girls, in its pilot phase the project has trained 150 participants focusing on closing gaps in access to technology and opportunity.

The training program held at the Samara Oram Educational Centre in Kendudihi of Sundargarh district provided hands-on training, mentorship and exposure to real world AI applications aimed at building foundational digital skills and preparing participants for the future workforce.
Addressing a press conference after the successful completion of the Bootcamp, Chief Organiser Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram profusely praised the noble initiative of World Woman Foundation to impart AI training to tribal girls and woman worldwide. Shri Oram exuded confidence that this bootcamp will definitely help in building a self reliant, skilled and empowered tribal society. Empowering Indigenous communities with access to emerging technologies is essential for achieving inclusive development and accomplishing the ultimate purpose of guaranteeing that no community is left behind in India’s digital transformation, Shri Oram added.
Speaking during the occasion the Los Angeles based Founder CEO of World Woman Foundation Rupa Dash observed that at the World Woman Foundation, we believe; talent is universal, but access is not. Training 150 Indigenous girls in AI is not just a program—it is a commitment to shifting systems, unlocking opportunities and building a more equitable society in future powered by women leaders from every community, Dash commented. Dash declared that this pilot programme has been designed to empower one million tribal woman and girls with AI skills for availing future jobs and ensuring inclusive development.
The program has been supported by Automation Anywhere,Smt. Anu and Naveen Jain Family, and the World Woman Fund.
