BHUBANESWAR:Water level is rising in the Mahandi River . Suresh Pujari , Revenue Minister said after reviewing the flood situation that 15 districts affected by floods.”
We have visited and reviewed Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Keonjhar. We have visited the affected districts by helicopter and reviewed the situtation,” Minister said.
-3 lakh 2943 people are under water lockdown, 21,380 acres of farmland damaged
, Operations underway at 647 relief centers.
Except Mahanadi, all other rivers are under danger mark. Only the water level of the Mahanadi River is rising , said Minister.
Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda and Cuttack have been alerted while maximum damages in Jajpur, Minister said.
The situation will improve significantly in the next 24 hours.Relief work will continue until the water recedes.If a damage report is received, compensation will be provided immediately, Pujari said.
