BHUBANESWAR:The water level of Hirakud Dam is rising. Now 14 gates have opened, 22 gates will open by evening. Water will be drained through 22 gates of Hirakud by evening.
Water Resources Top Engineer Dilip Raut gave information. More gates will open as inflow to Hirakud increases. 2 lakh cusecs of water is currently being discharged from Hirakud. 3.5 lakh cusecs of water will be released from Hirakud through 22 gates, 527,000 cusecs of water is flowing in Khairmal, If Hirakud water comes, about 7.5 lakh litres of water will flow
