United Nations officially adopted a landmark resolution designating November 27th as the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early, and Forced Marriage

This monumental achievement represents the culmination of four years of tireless, visionary advocacy led by Mr. Bhuban Ribhu, Founder of the Just Rights for Children Alliance.

At this profound moment, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every government official, statutory body, PRI member, grassroots woman leader, and courageous youth advocate who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Just Rights for Children Alliance and Ruchika Social Service Organisation. Through our united efforts across Odisha, we have protected thousands of children from early marriage and elevated our collective voice onto the global stage—directly shaping UN policy and establishing a global day of action.

We also honor the decisive leadership of the Government of India, which launched the nationwide campaign Bal Vivah Mukta Bharat on November 27, 2024. This initiative marked a historic turning point in combating child exploitation, and we express our deepest respect for India’s visionary role on the international stage.
