SAMBALPUR: Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that Seva Bharati is not just the name of an organization, but it is a unique symbol of selfless service, while attending the annual festival of ‘Seva Bharati’, Odisha Western Region, organized in Sambalpur on Saturday.
Shri Pradhan said in his speech that, following the mantra of “Service is God”, the dedicated work of this institution in every field like education, health, social reform and disaster management is highly commendable. The resolve that Seva Bharati has taken to bring smiles on the faces of the neglected and deprived people of the society is inspiring for everyone. We should not pity anyone, we should not show compassion to anyone, we should do our own duty. Duty is the reform of our society.
Keeping in mind the local context and needs, Seva Bharati has always connected itself with the society. This organization has been successful in creating a sense of belonging and collective consciousness among the people through programs like social self-reliance, traditional programs and drinking water provision. However, the ambulance service provided by the district administration today will further accelerate the healthcare services in the area. Similarly, Seva Bharati and every person in the society should take responsibility for the cow shelter and medical camp work being carried out in the local area, said Shri Pradhan.
Pointing out the health and nutrition of children as a matter of concern in today’s times, Shri Pradhan said that it is the collective duty of all of us to educate and nurture the next generation. He also called for extensive tree plantation and complete elimination of single-use plastic to combat the rising temperature. He said, “When we treat the society as our own family, then it will be possible to build a healthy and well-organized society.”
Odisha Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Drinking Water Minister Shri Ravi Narayan Nayak, Sambalpur MLA Shri Jayanarayan Mishra and other dignitaries were present on this annual event. Seva Bharati, taking all sections together, expressed its gratitude to the Shri Pradhan organization for continuing this great service.
