Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Joins Barkote’s Historic ‘Kala Chandan Yatra’ in Deogarh

DEOGARH:The historic ‘Kala Chandan Yatra’ of Barkot block of Deogarh district is not just a festival, it is a shining symbol of our rich Odia culture, unique traditions and deep spiritual consciousness, said Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

Shri Pradhan visited Deogarh district today and participated in various cultural and organizational programs. Present at the ‘Kala Chandan Yatra’ ceremony, Shri Pradhan said, this traditional pilgrimage of Kala village has a glorious history, which has become the identity of the entire Deogarh district today. He expressed that this festival, which gives a message of orderly lifestyle and social unity, will give the right direction to the coming generation.

Earlier, Shri Pradhan held a meeting with the party workers at the party office in Deogarh. He suggested strengthening the party organization at the grassroots level and reaching every welfare scheme of the ‘double engine’ government to all sections of the people. He called upon the workers to work single-mindedly towards realizing the vision of ‘Developed Deogarh’ and ‘Developed Odisha’.

On this occasion, the Union Minister participated in the inauguration ceremony of Shri Hanuman Temple in Deogarh city and wished the Lord happiness, prosperity and well-being to everyone. Along with this, he also visited and worshipped at the Shri Jagannath Temple in Barakot and sought the blessings of the Lord.

As per the information, Shri Pradhan is scheduled to dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects in Deogarh tomorrow.
