PURI:Today, on the fourth day of chariot construction, the chariot builders arrived at the chariot yard before 8:00 AM and began construction work.

By the end of the third day of construction yesterday, the Maharana Sevaks of the three chariots had completed the work of 10 tombs out of a total of 21 tombs provided by the Karti Sevaks to the three charioteers.
By the end of today’s work, a total of 26 tombstones for three chariots have been completed.
By the end of today’s construction work, the maharanas of Devdalana Rath and Nandighasa Rath have completed 8 tumbar rounds each, while the maharana servants of Taladhwaja Rath have completed 10 tumbar rounds.
While 42 tumbas are required for the 42 wheels of the three chariots, the Karti Sevaks have, by today, assembled all 42 tumbas and provided them to the three chariots.
As of today, out of the 14 fort towers required for the total 14 wheels of the Taladhwaj Rath, the work of 10 towers has been completed and the work of 4 towers is continuing under the guidance of the Chief Maharana.
Similarly, out of the 12 wheels provided for the total 12 wheels of the Devadalan Rath, the work of rounding 8 wheels has been completed and the work of rounding the remaining 4 wheels is being continued by the Maharana Sevaks of the Devadalan Rath.
Similarly, out of the 16 wheeled turrets provided for the total 16 wheels of the Nandighosha Rath, the work of circling 8 turrets has been completed and the work of circling the remaining 8 turrets is being continued by the Nandighosha Rath Maharana Sevaks.

The workers are continuing to prepare the spokes for a total of 42 wheels of the three chariots. By the end of today’s work, the 6/7 inch spokes required for each wheel have been prepared and the GI iron rods are being cut and welded to make the spokes for the remaining wheels.
