SAMBALPUR:The entire city of Sambalpur is turning spiritual today on the occasion of the holy Mahavishub Sankranti and Shri Hanuman Jayanti. Hanuman Jayanti is not just a religious festival, it is an integral part of the cultural and spiritual lifestyle of our Odisha, said Union Minister and Sambalpur MP Shri Dharmendra Pradhan while participating in the grand celebrations and processions organized at various places in Sambalpur today.
Shri Pradhan attended the programs organized in various areas and colonies of the city and spent time with the local devotees and the public. He was especially delighted to see the enthusiasm of the Kuni children dressed in Hanuman costumes during the procession and spent some time with them.
Responding to the media, Shri Pradhan said, “Hanuman Jayanti in Sambalpur carries a special identity throughout Odisha. The devotional atmosphere and social harmony here are unparalleled. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to participate in the program organized by various spiritual institutions and societies today.”
Joining the huge procession that took out on various routes in Sambalpur city, he greeted the people and prayed to Mahavir for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of all. He thanked all the organizing committee and the Shraddhalu for maintaining this heritage and tradition of Sambalpur.
During his visit to Sambalpur today, Shri Pradhan Burla also visited various Hanuman temples including Gowdapali, Vivekananda Chack, Hirakud Lariapada, Dedeipali Sriramayani, Bamra Govindapur.
