BHUBANESWAR:Keeping in view the heavy traffic movement to and from Puri on the occasion of the Suna Besha of Mahaprabhu, the Khordha District Police has implemented a strategic traffic management plan to ensure safe, smooth, and hassle-free vehicular movement.
Nakas and check posts have been established at strategic locations for traffic regulation, enforcement, and effective implementation of the traffic management plan. The entire operation is being carried out under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Khordha.
Traffic regulation through intermittent blocking is being carried out at all three nakas of Khordha district to ensure smooth dispersal of vehicles returning from Puri and to regulate onward traffic in a controlled manner.

* Naka-1: Rameshwar Chhak (Nirakarpur PS)
* Towards Puri: 0.4 vehicles/min
* From Puri: 1.1 vehicles/min
* Naka-2: Gada Khordha Chhak (Industrial PS)
* Towards Puri: 0.25 vehicles/min
* From Puri: 0.5 vehicles/min
* Naka-3: Jatni Bypass Chhak (Industrial PS)
* Towards Puri: 0.1 vehicles/min
* From Puri: 0.6 vehicles/min
Smit P. Parmar, IPS, SP Khordha, is present on the ground and personally supervising traffic regulation and enforcement at these naka points to ensure smooth traffic management and effective implementation of the intermittent blocking strategy.
