BHUBANESWAR/PURI:During the 2014 elections, the BJP party came to power by raising slogans against the mismanagement, corruption, embezzlement and loot of the Naveen Patnaik/V.K. Pandian government. We are informing the people of the state about the achievements of the BJP government in the last two and a half years of rule.
1. The BJP party’s resolve to provide lifelong protection to former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik without investigating all the corruption and mismanagement that took place under his leadership and with the help of Prachanda.
2. Providing complete security to Kartachatti Administrator V.K. Pandian without investigating the helicopter scam (misappropriation of government funds and investment of black money in the name of hearing allegations across the state).
3. Failure to investigate all allegations and evidence regarding the financial irregularities in the mega drinking water project worth Rs. 52,000 crore, 5 schools worth Rs. 43,000 crore, and the alleged NUA-O program worth Rs. 250 crore.
4. The central leadership of the BJP party made a secret deal with Naveen Patnaik and V.K. Pandian to protect them.
5. To permanently conceal the report of Justice Raghubir Das Commission on the incident of the loss of the keys to the jewel vault of Shri Jagannath and to come to power by lying to the people of the state.
6. Under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik, the BJP government has further accelerated the theft of minor minerals (moram soil, sand, stone) that is going on across the state, looting the state’s mineral resources and encouraging the looters to loot even more. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the BJP government’s best contribution to the people of the state is that the BJP MLAs cooperate with this mineral mafia and take away PCs from them.
7. The BJP party had an election promise for a CBI investigation into the murder of former minister Naba Das. The then opposition leader and current BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra had alleged that former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, V.K. Pandian and Pranab Prakash Das were involved in this murder. But the BJP party’s top leadership, in consultation with Mr. Naveen Patnaik and V.K. Pandian, is not conducting a CBI investigation. Let the people of Odisha know how deadly the BJP party is.
8. The BJP government has started ruining Odisha by making the mining of minerals like iron ore, manganese, bauxite corporates more active in the state under the Naveen Patnaik government. The BJP government has protected all the mine looters like Naveen Patnaik. After dismissing the BJD party’s favorite mine looter Raja Chakra at the center, Jaiswal has been given this responsibility.
9. The BJP government has sent D.S. Kute, Ashish Singh, Mitrabhanu Mohapatra, and Ravi Kant, the horribly corrupt and autocratic officials working under the direction of V.K. Pandian, who has become very influential under Naveen Patnaik’s misrule, on central deputation without investigating them.
10. The BJP government came to power with the slogan of “Odia Asmita”. Because during the Naveen government, non-Odia officials, non-Odia businessmen, non-Odia contractors took advantage of the situation and looted Odisha to their heart’s content. But after the BJP government came to power, it has protected all those non-Odia looters and put them to work to loot even more.
11. The BJP government is so incompetent that it could not clear the main highway in front of the residence of former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik despite a court order.
12. Based on the complaint of Hon’ble Minister Prithviraj Harichandan regarding the loss of the investigation report of Swami Laxminanda murder case, the Capital Police conducted an investigation and issued notices to V.K. Pandian, along with several former administrative officers, for their presence. While the Capital Police was investigating, the Chief Minister ordered an investigation by the Hot Crimes. Since that day, the investigation into the loss of the investigation report has been lying in cold storage. In any case, there will be no further investigation. This is the best achievement of the BJP leadership to protect V.K. Pandian.
13. The BJP party had an election promise to establish a transparent, corruption-free and accountable government in the state. But after coming to power, they started all kinds of conspiracy to destroy the Right to Information Act in the name of transparency. Therefore, fools, criminals and scoundrels were appointed as Information Commissioners. The Information Commission was given the responsibility of abolishing the Right to Information Act. This trend is still continuing.
14. The state is earning thousands of crores of rupees in revenue from the rights and royalties received from the mining rights of the state, while the BJP government at the Centre has implemented the MMDR Act and deprived Odisha of the royalty of Rs 1 lakh crore that it was supposed to get.
15. The CBI ordered a probe into the sub-inspector recruitment scam and softened the case.
16. While 3.25 crore beneficiaries in the state still depend on tanked rice, on the day of the festival, ministers and MLAs of the BJP government gathered and consumed health-enriched rice, wasting Rs 2.32 crore of the state exchequer.
17. The BJP government has suppressed the investigation reports into the Chikiti liquor deaths, the 2015 Puri Rath Yatra violence and the deaths of 3 devotees, the police misbehavior at Bharatpur police station, etc.
18. Similarly, the BJP government has deliberately kept the Lokayukta institution, which was formed to investigate all corruption, inoperative. Despite the intervention of the Hon’ble High Court, the Lokayukta institution could not be made functional.
The state is ruled by a coalition government of two corrupt political parties, BJP and BJD. The allegations, rebuttals and opposition between these two are just a show of force, intended to deceive the people of Odisha. This is our small effort to make the people of Odisha aware.
