Tension prevails at Biju Patnaik Airport after Air Asia cancels its Flight

BHUBANESWAR: Tensions were on Tuesday prevailed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here after the authorities of Air Asia cancelled their Bhubaneswar-Bengaluru Flight keeping the unrest over CAB.

Left with no alternatives the passengers indulged in an argument with the staffers of Air Asia, sources said.

Amidst various problems in the transport sector, due to the ongoing uproar because of the anti-CAA protest, tension erupted at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

With no other options left, the airline companies offered to refund back the cash amount in return for the tickets. However, the arrangement irked the commuters and an altercation emerged here.

Meanwhile, train services between Howrah in West Bengal and Khurda Road in Odisha also disrupted for the 4th day. South-Eastern and East Coast Railways have cancelled several trains and also diverted and rescheduled many express and passengers trains.
