PURI: On the occasion of Prime Minister’s ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, the state-level ‘Aangan Ka Milan’ festival was held in Pipili, Puri district. The festival was organized at the Sanglaei Aashiksha Anganwadi Center of Laxminarayanpur Panchayat under Pipili block. The Deputy Chief Minister, Mrs. Parvathi Parida, attended the festival as the chief guest and celebrated with the children. Pipili-Delang MLA Ashrit Patnaik attended the event as the guest of honor. Anganwadi centers are the foundation of building the future of children, both the guests said.
Deputy Chief Minister, Mrs. Parida called upon the parents to take care of their health, education and healthy environment by providing nutritious food to the children. . The Deputy Chief Minister thanked all the Anganwadi workers, supervisors and helpers for playing an important role, especially in the areas of maternal health, prenatal care and post-natal care of the child. During the festival, various programs like dance, songs and storytelling were organized by Kuni Kuni children. Along with this, a nutrition competition was also held for the parents.
Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Parida awarded the parents who secured the first, second and third positions in the competition. The best parents were also honored. Director of the State Women and Child Development Department Mamata Banerjee, Divisional Additional Secretary Jyotiranjana Nayak attended the program as guests and made the parents aware about the healthy development, nutrition and care of the child and emphasized the role of Anganwadi centers. The program was supervised by Puri District Social Welfare Officer Tanuprava Beura. Pipili CDPO Mamata Nayak and all the Anganwadi workers, supervisors and assistants of the block cooperated in organizing the program.
