BHUBANESWAR:The Cabinet meeting held at the conference room of Lok Seva Bhavan under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi discussed and approved 16 proposals from 13 departments.
According to the cabinet decision on the reservation policy for enrollment in medical, engineering, other higher education and technological education courses in Odisha, the state’s Scheduled Tribes will get 22.50 percent reservation, Scheduled Castes 16.25 percent, and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes students will get 11.25 percent reservation.
It has been decided to distribute additional rice quota to beneficiaries under the ‘National Food Security Act’ (NFSA) and ‘State Food Security Scheme’ (SFSS) through the ‘Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana’. An expenditure of Rs. 352 crore has been sanctioned for the revival of Badamba Sugar Mill.
The cabinet’s decisions will contribute to the welfare of the people and the creation of a developed Odisha by 2036.
The meeting was attended by two Deputy Chief Ministers, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo and Mrs. Parvathi Parida, along with all the ministers and senior officials.
