BHUBANESWAR:The Cabinet meeting held at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved 11 proposals from 5 departments after discussion.
Under the ‘Parvati Giri Large Hill Irrigation Project’, irrigation facilities will be provided to thousands of hectares of land in Jajpur, Sonepur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur districts. Farmers will be encouraged to grow more profitable cash crops instead of traditional farming.
The ‘Rural Drinking Water Supply Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Policy 2026’ has been approved. This is a landmark decision that strengthens our commitment towards providing sustainable and reliable drinking water services in rural areas.
Atal Bus Stands will be established at the Urban Local Body (ULB) level, including district headquarters, sub-district headquarters, block headquarters, tourist destinations and other important places in Odisha across the state.
The cabinet’s decisions will contribute to the welfare of the people and the creation of a developed Odisha by 2036.
The meeting was attended by all the ministers and senior officials, including Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo.
