BHUBANESWAR:To-day i.e. on 05.06.2026, a shotwhile ago, Sri Srikanta Kumar Dash, Jr. Asst. O/o DEO, Bhadrak has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance *while demanding and taking bribe of Rs.10,000/- from a functionary of one Private School in Bhadrak District to process file for issuance of Certificate of Recognition in favour of the School*.
But, accused Sri Dash was demanding bribe Rs.10,000/- to process file for the above purpose. Despite several requests made by the functionary of the school, Sri Dash insisted on taking bribe Rs 10,000/-.
Finding no other means, functionary of the school reported the matter to vigilance authorities. Upon receiving the information, a team of Odisha Vigilance, today, nabbed Sri Dash while taking bribe Rs.10,000/- from the functionary. *The entire bribe money Rs.10,000/- has been recovered from the possession of accused Sri Dash and seized*.
