CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: 1987-batch IPS officer, Sunil Kumar Bansal took charge as new DGP from outgoing Abhay on Friday, who superannuated from service.
New DGP was given a ceremonial guard of honour before assuming charge at the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack.
Bansal after assuming charge told reporters that “Seva and service will be my priority apart from taking ahead the good work started by my predecessors on all fronts”.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister appointed Abhay as Chairman of the State Task Force for Narcotic drugs related issues in the State ,in the rank and status of Chief Secretary.
