PURI: Passes have been issued by the district administration to authorized employees, servants, officers of various departments, NGO representatives and other authorized persons for the smooth conduct of various services, security and administrative work on the occasion of Rath Yatra 2026.
Strict checks have been made at all entry points by the Puri police to check these passes. During the check, some people were trying to enter using fake passes and they were seized.
Strict action is being taken against those involved in the preparation, use or misuse of such fake passes as per the prevailing law and investigation is underway. Puri police requests everyone to use only valid and authorized passes. Those involved in the use of fake passes or in its preparation/supply will have to face strict legal action.
