BHUBANESWAR: Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for presenting the success of two talents from Sambalpur and Kendrapara of Odisha in front of the entire nation in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program today. He said that it is a matter of pride for the people of Odisha.
The Prime Minister praised Mrs. Sujata Bhuyan, who achieved success in fish farming through ‘cage culture’ in Sambalpur Hirakud reservoir. Mrs. Bhuyan has become self-reliant by taking up this business and has created a new direction for other women. Her journey from a housewife to a successful entrepreneur will inspire the female society. Similarly, the Prime Minister also highly appreciated the success of Om Prakash Rath, a young talent from Kendrapara district of Odisha, in ‘My Bharat Budget Quest 2026’. Shri Pradhan said that ‘My Bharat Budget Quest’ is a unique effort to involve the youth in the policy making of the country. The participation of youth like Om Prakash Rath is very important in realizing the vision of ‘Developed India’ and leading women-led development. Each of their efforts will pave a new path for the future of the country.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the work of the ‘Prayog Institute of Education Research’ in Bengaluru. Instilling a scientific attitude among students of classes IX to XII through ‘Anweshan’ and research-based teaching is a big step towards building a ‘Developed India’. Under the National Education Policy, sports are being given equal importance with education. The participation of more than 2 lakh women in the ‘Asmita Athletics League’ and the ‘Khelo India Winter Games’ in Gulmarg signal a new era in the sports world of the country. Shri Pradhan mentioned in his message that today the youth of India is moving forward with the mantra of “Yo Khelega, Owo Khelega”.
