BHUBANESWAR:Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today visited Nandigram, West Bengal, and held discussions with party workers and campaigned in the constituency of senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Shri Subhendu Nirmala Sitharaman.
Addressing the media, Shri Pradhan said that Nandigram is not just a geographical area, but a symbol of a consciousness of change. He has had a deep spiritual and personal connection with Nandigram for the past 20 years. The soil of Nandigram has represented Bengali resilience and courage, which has guided the politics of the entire West Bengal. Shri Pradhan said that the people of West Bengal are fed up with the current injustice, corruption and appeasement politics. Every citizen of Bengal is now determined to get rid of the anti-people policies of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government. Therefore, today change is not just a slogan, but it has become a mass movement in the entire state.
Praising the immense enthusiasm, discipline and dedication of the workers in Nandigram, he said that the unwavering support of the people here is a clear signal to once again blossom the lotus. Shri Pradhan opined that the time has come for change in West Bengal and for a new and developed Bengal to be built.
During this campaign, Shri Pradhan participated in the Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program and distributed Anna Prasad.
