BHUBANESWAR:Over sixty industry leaders, HR professionals, academicians and professionals attended Allyship++ 2.0 organised by the SOA Deemed to be University at Chennai on Friday which focused on industry-academia collaboration.

A distinguished panel of speakers from the corporate world graced the event which had ‘Practicing Allyship’ as its theme.

The program included a fireside chat with eminent athlete Premanand J., a high-performance athletics coach and former international sprinter who trained the Indian national sprint team for the Paris Olympics. He shared inspiring insights on leadership, resilience, discipline and the transformative power of mentorship.

It was followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion moderated by Ms. Archana Grover, Global Head- Capabilities, Transformation and Culture, Standard Chartered, focusing on how organisations could meaningfully practice allyship to create inclusive, high-performing and future-ready workplaces.

The other members of the panel comprised Ms. Suganya Veeraraghavan, Assistant Vice-President, Rocket India, Mr. Suresh Aade, Head, Human Resources, Foodhub, Ms. Archana Mukunthan, Senior Manager, Nordex Group, Mr. R.K. Ramachandran, Global Talent Head, KaarTech and Mr. M.D. Joshua David, India Campus Head, Mphasis.

The panelists emphasized that allyship was not merely an initiative but a leadership responsibility which drove innovation, trust and sustainable organizational success.

Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA Deemed to be University, who was present, emphasized the significance of industry-academia collaboration in building future-ready workplaces. Dr. Raj Kumar Hota, Dean (Corporate Relations and Placement) of SOA, highlighted the importance of embedding allyship into everyday leadership and workplace culture.

The event reaffirmed SOA’s commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration and advancing inclusive leadership through meaningful conversations which inspired action.
