BHUBANESWAR:The BJP government is dedicated to the welfare of agriculture and farmers. After the BJP government came to power in Odisha, agriculture and farmers are improving day by day. The successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi have implemented many agricultural welfare schemes for the welfare of agriculture and farmers. The workers have been given the responsibility of how these schemes will reach the farmers of the state. The Kisan Morcha will act as a bridge between the government and the farmers, said State Kisan Morcha President Shri Subhransu Mohan Padhi in an organizational meeting held at the BJP office.
Giving information about the meeting, Shri Padhi said that during the previous government, attention was not paid to the welfare of farmers. Prime Minister Modi’s farmer welfare schemes did not reach the people. Modi is working to double the income of farmers. Popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi is committed to the collective development of farmers. Kisan Morcha workers have been given the responsibility to make them aware so that all the farmers of the state can take advantage of the welfare schemes.
State President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Manmohan Samal attended the meeting and guided the workers of the Morcha who came from different districts. Minister Shri Ganeshram Singh Khuntia attended the meeting and informed about the impact of the changing environment on agriculture. MP Shri Sukant Panigrahi was present at the event and spoke about various schemes of the Central and State Governments on agriculture, farmer empowerment and their successful implementation.
Among others, General Secretary (Organization) Shri Manas Kumar Mohanty, State Vice President Shri Shivaji Mohanty, State General Secretary Seemanchal Khatei, State Vice President Alok Mohanty, Kisan Morcha State General Secretary Artabandhu Prasthi, Srikant Mishra, State Secretary Sucharita Jenamani, Treasurer Shri Biswajit Swain, Media Coordinator Purnabosha Mohapatra, along with the state officers and district presidents and general secretaries of the Morcha were present.
