BHUBANESWAR:Kalinga Sena has demanded immediate payment of allowance to about 10 lakh old and old people in the state who have not received allowance for three months. In a press release on behalf of the army today, Army Chief Hemant Rath said that such an exception has been observed for the first time in the state. According to the government, if software is a hindrance in paying allowance, then the state government should directly pay the allowance in cash. Bring a smile on the faces of old and old people during the National Day celebrations of Odisha.

The Kalinga Sena has said that lakhs of old people in the state are living on allowance money. From household oil to salt to medicines, this money is used to buy them. Many people take life-saving medicines after receiving allowance money. But the government has not been able to give allowance to people for three months. Instead, they are blaming the central government.
It is extremely shameful and ridiculous that a government that calls itself a double engine government is going to rip the money out of the mouths of old people by blaming computers in 2026. The state government has all the lists. Give these people cash immediately. If there is no money to pay as allowance, then immediately give the 840 crore rupees received from the recent liquor shop auction as allowance.
The Army has further said that about 36 lakh people in the state receive allowances. Out of these, 10 lakh have not received allowances for three months. While the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs and government officials receive their salaries and allowances on time at the end of the month, the government should not be so heartless towards the elderly. If the Centre is obstructing them in getting allowances, then the Ministers and MLAs should save their lives by giving some of their salaries and allowances to the elderly.
