BHUBANESWAR:Every Odia should protest against the way ISKCON is staging a Rath Yatra with its idol, Shri Jagannath, on the roadsides across the country and abroad. To give ISKCON a reply, the Kalinga Sena has called for boycotting the ISKCON Rath Yatra in Bhubaneswar during the upcoming Rath Yatra.
Sena Chief Hemant Rath said in a press statement today that the ISKCON authorities are playing with the emotions of Puri, Gajapati, Odisha government and the Odias. Whenever they ask not to do the Adiniya Rath Yatra, they are deliberately organizing it in the country and abroad for their own business. This is not only harming the Jagannath culture, it is a grave insult to crores of Odias. ISKCON does not hesitate to call the Odias who oppose such activities of ISKCON abroad as dogs.
Therefore, ISKCON, which has made such comments against the Odias, disrespecting the rituals of the Odisha Kula Devta, has no right to stay in Odisha. This organization should be locked in its temple as soon as possible. Shri Rath has asked the people of Odisha to boycott the upcoming Rath Yatra of ISKCON, which has made such comments against the Odias. Shri Rath has also warned that the Kalinga soldiers will also strongly oppose all the programs of ISKCON in the coming days.
