BHUBANESWAR:Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday presented a new growth agenda for Odisha at the state’s first sector-centric investment roadshow ‘Odisha Food Pro 2026’ organized outside Odisha.
Minister Industries, Sampad Swain, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, ACS Home, Industries and I&PR Hemant Sharma, and other were present.
ASSOCHAM Odisha State Development Council Chairman Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, UCCIL President Prabodh Kumar Mohanty and Captains of Industry joined with the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Today’s event in New Delhi has helped develop a food processing ecosystem that connects the agricultural sector with production, exports, and global markets.
27 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were signed during the roadshow with investment proposals worth Rs. 41,748 crore. This huge investment proposal reflects the industry’s confidence in Odisha’s food processing ecosystem. This is likely to generate 35,252 employment opportunities.
In addition, the Odisha government has received 12 Investment Intent Letters (IIFs) for investments worth Rs 1,689 crore, which will generate 8,064 employment opportunities.
Chief Minister highlighted the state’s vision to build a more diversified economy with food processing at the heart of its next phase of growth.
At Odisha FoodPro 2026, he underlined the opportunity to create greater value for farmers, empower women, strengthen agro-based industries and drive balanced industrial development across the state.
Referring to the investment commitments announced at the Roadshow, he said they reflect growing industry confidence in Odisha, while reaffirming Team Odisha’s commitment to a transparent, facilitative and investor-friendly ecosystem.
