Odisha continues to set new benchmarks in affordable urban housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U 2.0)

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha has emerged as the top-performing State in the country in completion of houses under PMAY-U 2.0, consistently securing the number one position from March 2025 to March 2026.

Out of 24,625 houses sanctioned in Odisha, 23,464 sites have already been geo-tagged, foundation work has started for 3,134 houses, and 2,008 houses have been completed as on 5th May 2026. The remaining houses are progressing rapidly across different stages of construction.

This achievement reflects the State Government’s strong commitment towards “Housing for All” through effective coordination, timely implementation and inclusive urban development.
