Juventica – Police Awareness and Engagement Program with Adolescent Girls held, More than 15,000 teenagers participated in 555 police stations

CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR:Today, “Juventica- Police Awareness and Engagement Program with Teenagers” was organized at Police Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the Women and Child Crime Prevention Branch of Odisha Police and UNICEF. On this occasion, the Chief Guest, State Security Director General Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, inaugurated the program and expressed that through “JUVENTICA”, Odisha Police is trying to make the police system more accessible, safe and friendly for children and teenagers. More than 15,000 teenagers from about 555 police stations across the state participated in this program. Along with the teenagers from Advika Clubs, Anganwadi Workers and Para Legal Volunteers also participated in it.

Nowadays, a large number of teenagers are spending their time enjoying negative content on social media. He advised them to always receive educational content from social media and make their future bright. Apart from this, they are facing psychological stress due to cyber crimes and social problems at various times. In this situation, it is our primary responsibility to give them moral education, listen to their words carefully and provide proper advice and moral support, the DGP said.
He added that this effort is an important step in building trust and cooperation between the youth and the police. He urged all the youth to feel free to contact the police and report their problems.
He also urged all police officers to establish good relations with teenagers and be more aware and vigilant about their safety and well-being.
He expressed hope that this program would create a safe, positive environment for children and adolescents in the state.
On this occasion, the DGP interacted with teenagers from various districts through Abhashee.
DGP (Crime Branch) Shri Binaytosh Mishra, Additional Director General of Police (Modernization) Shri Saumendra Priyadarshi, Additional Director General of Police (Railway and Coastal Security) Shri Arun Kumar Bothra, Additional Director General of Police (Women and Child Crime Prevention Branch) Smt. S. Saini and other senior police officers were present at today’s event.
