BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday attended the 35th and 36th State Film Awards ceremony held at Loksewa Bhawan Convention Center and honored the unique talents of our film world.
‘My heartfelt congratulations to all the artists and technicians who were honored with the highest honor of Odia cinema, the ‘Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami Award’, including the senior sadhaks, sadhikas, and all the awardees in a total of 62 categories. It is your art and sadhana that has brought glory to the culture of Odisha in the world court,” CM Majhi said.
‘Our government is committed to the overall development of Odia cinema and the protection and rights of our artists. Therefore, we are going to enact a landmark ‘Film Policy’ very soon, which will be a strong step towards the revival of the Odia film industry.
Along with this, Kalinga Studios is being transformed into a major digital and post-production hub in the country to provide international level technical training and employment to our young talents. Our talents will no longer have to go to other states for work; their dreams will come true in the land of Odisha,” he said.
‘Let us all become ‘Team Odisha’ and support Odia cinema and further enrich this new dawn of our cinema by taking forward the basic stories and culture of our land,” CM added.
